An enjoyable dinner but with a limited selection of dishes to choose from on the buffet. While there are a few dishes to browse, there was an unwelcome familiarity among them all. Unlike many of their buffet counter parts, Soho includes duck pancakes in theirs, though this may have proved to be a little too popular leaving you disappointed if you don’t get there as soon as they bring out the fresh dish. The desserts were traditionally poor. A chocolate sponge of some description had been cut either earlier that day or maybe earlier, so was stale by the 5pm dinner time rolled around. The obligatory jelly and large tub of cheap Neapolitan ice cream was in plentiful supply though. The staff are friendly and attentive, clearing the plates and keeping our drinks filled nice and fast. Big problem for me was the fact that we were sat next to the patio which with the warmer weather today was nice, but it’s where they let all the customers smoke, meaning that if we wanted to stay out of the constant stream of cigarette smoke, we’d have to ask to move. All in all, it was what you would expect from an all-you-can-eat buffet; average.
