It’s ok. Nothing special but it’s ok.
This has been a local institute since I’ve known and heard about it at High School … I’ve never really been to it before though, maybe once but I’m not to sure and if I did, I probably got drunk.
I met my closest besties for dinner and catch up, it was relatively quiet when we got there but soon started filling up with other people in for dinner too. There are lots of tables to sit at, so lots of choice if you get there in good time.
The food was good, you just have to order at the bar with your table number and pay for it up front. I had steak and chips for mains and something! for starter and was too full for dessert (yeap, my dessert stomach failed me big time!).
As I caught the bus down I could grab a glass of wine without having the hassle of no drink cause I would usually would drive or be driving. So I could put the worry away and let my hair down!
The bill wasn’t expensive, so good value for what we got and that includes a bottle between two of us whilst the other 2 stuck to soft drinks. Would we come back? Yeah why not, but I’m hoping the food comes out quicker next time.

ive given 2 stars only because i know this place has done better meals in the past and the atmhosphere is pretty good, but my husband and i went to have a meal and it was awful, no thought went into the presentation, slapped on a large white plate no garnish. The steak was lovely but the peas were cold and so were the chips. very dissopointing.
the starter looked like it was just flung on again and no garnish. presentation goes along way and a bit of hot food is favourable.
over all not a good experience. i hope this place improves as i know it can do alot better or needs new managment.
