This is one of my favourite places, costing me a small fortune throughout the year as I just love crystals, fossils and rocks and the stock is forever changing and tempting me endlessly. The friendly staff have extensive knowledge to help both the serious collector of the earth’s riches, as well interested tourists and alternative therapists who use crystals for healing. Rare specimans can also turn up for sale and there are always some huge pieces such as the ‘caves’ filled with amethysts and dinasaur fossils to astonish small children. You can also buy attractive jewellery ranging from cheap to expensive, depending on whether you want semi-precious stones with silver, or just a bracelet of beads. For those people interested in ‘alternative therapies’ you can buy books and meditation/music discs, angel cards and similar as well as wands, crystal balls, and pendulems. For the serious collector of fossils, rocks and minerals, there are a good range of books and posters on the subject and a range of tools for working in the field. If you want to make jewellery yourself, you can buy the findings and chains, pebble polishing machines and accessories. It’s such a great place, I can still think of many other things I haven’t mentioned and not surprisingly, many people travel from miles away even though there is a mail order part to the business, they just like to choose their own pieces.
