This Holiday Inn Express is closer to a standard Holiday Inn thanks to the hotel previously being a four star Ramada that has changed hands. A lot if the furnishings have been downgraded, but the place still has a slightly higher quality feel than a usual Express. Downsides? There’s a 24h McDonalds right in front of it, which can get noisy at inconvenient times of the night. The combined bar, lounge and breakfast bar(known bizarrely as The Great Room) has no atmosphere and is a trifle depressing. Breakfast is standard Holiday Inn Express fair, i.e. A bit poor.
