It’s a nice, cheap but the service is slow and some of the food is tasteless.
If you get a good one then you’re doing well!

this is cheap and cheerful italian cuisine at its best! if you want to go out for a nice meal but are on a budget then this is the place for you. i love it here and have visited countless times over the years. the place has recently had a facelift to the outside — new signs and window displays and so on which makes it look a bit more modern but inside is still as traditional as ever.
the smell of garlic as you approach it is amazing but beware — your friends will not thankyou for a couple of days after eating here!!!
the restaurant can be both formal and informal — smart casual i would go for but you do tend to get people in here straight after work looking smart as well as people who have just dropped in on spec in jeans and tshirts. the restaurant is over 2 floors with the downstairs overlooking the chefs working at the big pizza oven and work stations.
the service is usually ok — the place has always been pretty busy whenever i have visited so service has always been fine but you can tell the waitresses and waiters are quite busy!
the menu is typical italian but there isnt the usual meat and fish dishes. they stick to what they do well here and everything is oven based pretty much — pizza and pasta with a small selection of starters and desserts. the food though is always of a good standard and you get plenty. the wines are also pretty nice — the house carafe’s are great for sharing on the table.
they have an area upstairs for functions and parties which is nice if there is a large group of you or if the group is particularly rowdy so as not to disturb other diners.
the location of the restaurant is ideal. it is on the main throughfare from crewe to nantwich right by crewe station on nantwich road. there is a giant carpark behind the restaurant which you can use — it is council owned the carpark so double check that you dont have to pay if you get there early! (i dont think you have to pay after about 6 or 7 in the evening).
overall this restaurant is really really good. it isn’t a posh, ‘stand on ceremony’ type of place — its quite small and intimate, cheery and friendly and really great value for money. the closest italian to this is in nantwich or sandbach but this is completely different in every way from those. highly recommended.
