I was ever so slightly confused when I came across this shop. I thought the whole place was owned by the Eden House people, but it turns out they just own the upstairs, whilst the downstairs is owned by Solo Shoes. Ahhh. Pure nosiness alone led me to have a look up the stairs, rather than simply downstairs. A number of signs and posters alerted me to the fact that they specialise in ladies formal wear and mother of the bride outfits in a range of style and colours, in sizes 6 to 30. Furthermore, all formal dresses had 50% off them… oooh. Thinking of my sister, I decided to wait no longer and take a duke at these dresses. There are at least two rooms upstairs, though it was pretty hard to see due to the lack of light. One door had a sign saying«formalwear», so I attempted to go in there only to find it was locked. Ok then. The other room was only filled with quite garish mother of the bride outfits, and these were expensive. I hope my eyes deceived me when I spotted a £525 price tag, but I fear they didn’t. A lady spotted me having a nosey, but nothing was said so I just decided to leave. On the way out I noticed a few dresses were hung on mannequins, but a) they weren’t particularly nice and b) there was no indication of price. Great. Disappointed with a capital D.
