Great place for a quick meal or a drink with friends. Very helpful and friendly staff. Fantastic choice of high quality Tapas food, drinks (including Spanish Sherry) and cocktails. Parking is via Cowbridge town hall car park.

Had a few good nights here the cocktail menu is legendary!

Just dropped in for a couple of coffees at lunchtime. The coffee was fine and it seemed to be well-​liked by folk who were eating there. It would have been very cheap if I hadn’t pointed out they’d tried to undercharge us!

Bar 44 is another one of those places that seems to be trying to do absolutely everything at once. Not content with being a coffee shop, it wants to be a cocktail bar and a tapas lounge too. In principle it’s fine but I just can’t seem to shake the feeling that it’s just trying a bit hard to appease absolutely everyone and be all things to all patrons.
The cocktails are really great so it would make sense to pick one thing and focus on it rather than trying to be the jack of all trades but master of none. The classics start at a fiver and you can upgrade the alcohol to a premium brand for a little extra. I sort of disagree with that because really they should be using good quality booze in their cocktails anyway.
The bar staff are skilled and knowledgeable and able to rustle up a delicious virgin drink that will satisfy even the saintliest of creatures. Atmosphere wise it’s a four out of five, very cosy but also vibrant enough to keep you from nodding off (an urge I often get in windowless underground cocktail bars).
I just wish that they would make up their minds and focus on one thing though because instead of being good, this place could really be great.

A fairly expensive Tapas Bar. The prices are expensive due to the quality of the food and service you get which is very good. The bar staff are awesome, they make a varity of cocktails in front of your eyes. It is a very relaxing place to go and just chill with some friends.

A lovely tapas bar the food is good but some things can be expensive. There is an excellent selection of cocktails. This is alos a nice place to go for a coffee and a cake.

An incredible place to go for a relaxing few drinks.
Bar staff are great and always happy to help you choose a cocktail you may enjoy. Food is served almost all day which is incredibly delicious. A highly recommended place to go for a night out in cowbridge!
