Food is superb, service is great. In comparison to the other reviewer, the waiter/​manager gave us free stuff (some starters) and certainly didn’t charge!

11 of us went for a meal on feb 14th 2011,
service was good, waiters were very polite, was havin a gr8 night, the owner came to our table, he gave the 3 ladies in our group a rose and small box of chocs and us blokes a pack of cards each, at this time he said with his compliments.
when we got the bill he had charged £5 per item, we challenged him with this, he said he couldn’t give these away, we got some of the money refunded, be aware of this scam when you use this restaurant !!!

I have visited many indian Restaurants in my time, And i have not yet come upon a restaurant that i can say was truly perfect. Until now the sonargoan tandoori award winning restaruant, The food was the best i have had at a indian restarant, Its to a very high standard, They are fully licensed and have a great wine menu, and selection of spirits and beers, The service is excellent 5 stars they really know what they are doing, The manager Adam runs his team very effectivly, and is one of the best managers i have seen in a restaurant he really made my evening .The prices are very reasonable for a restaurant, with a discount available for takeaway. overall i would recommend this restaurant to everyone it is truly superb,

The Sonargaon Tandoori restaurant has recently been renovated to a very high standard. Set on two floors, the upstairs has the new addition of a smoking balcony. A family-​run restaurant, it always offers a warm welcome and a friendly atmosphere. The service is always excellent but never intrusive, and the food is of a consistently high standard. The restaurant is fully licensed and has a bar; a good selection of wines and beers are available. The prices are very reasonable for a restaurant, with a discount available for takeaway. I would recommend this restaurant wholeheartedly to all of my friends.
