Holiday Inn Hotel Corby-Kettering A43

We stayed here since my nieces wedding was being hosted here, and overall it was a fairly good experience.
Our room was a decent size, though a little basic, but had most of the amenities you would expect. What was odd was the lack of wash/​face cloths, I enquired about this and was told they stopped providing them. We ended up using the hand towels which is not very hygienic since we’re leaving damp towels all around the bathroom and creating a lot of laundry for the hotel too, but it’s certainly a lot more hygienic than us carrying damp cloths around with us on our travels. I later found out from a hotel in London this is actually normal in the UK now (we live in the USA) bizarre as that is! The bathroom also had issues with a toilet that would not flush fully and which would sometimes run for a long time if you kept trying, but I let it go since we were only here a couple of days. The air conditioning in the room worked fine but you couldn’t have it on overnight the compressor was so noisy.
More positively, the breakfast buffet was really good and the free wifi was actually very fast and reliable. The bar area in the lobby was also nice with friendly staff.
This hotel has a lot of rooms for things like conferences, weddings etc. and I will say they did a good job with my nieces wedding both for the reception, which had a nice large room with patio and garden area out back, and the service was done in a nice Octagonal shaped room.
So overall while the rooms may be a little sub par, and the hotel overall a little dated, for the price I probably would consider staying here again if I find myself back in Corby in the future which is possible since I have family there.

This Holiday Inn is quite old, but is being gradually refurbished. Good sized bedroom, although bathroom equipment is quite dated.
Perfectly good enough for an overnight stay, especially if you get a good deal from the IHG website.
Handy for A14, A1 and M1. Decent sized car park, too.

This place needs a lick of paint and modernising. The bar area is the foyer and feels like it. The rooms are big but old feeling. Parking’s ok and the restaurant serves good food which is it’s redeaming feature. It’s also noisy on a main road.
