The restaurant is situated in part of the farm buildings and you immediately confident concerning the sourcing of the food on offer when you walk past a group of healthy looking pigs in one of the barns on your way to the restaurant’s entrance. The meat is very much this restaurant’s selling point, with the Farm supplying first class pork, beef and lamb to the kitchen to craft into traditional British fare — think roast beef and Yorkshire pudding or sausage and mash. This kind of comfort food brings the quality of the produce on offer to the fore and is exactly what one needs on a cold winter’s day and is recommended. The restaurant itself spreads itself across three rooms. The main room has a wood burning stove which provides a cosy atmosphere. Next to this is ‘the Snug’ which only holds a single 4 person table which might provide a more intimate option — particularly as it also features a day bed in the corner. The third room is, I think, mainly used for larger groups.
