Shakey Jakey’s is a vaguely new addition to Colchester, but has found itself very popular with customers of all ages. It makes a range of milkshakes in an unbelievable variety of flavours, from jellybean to sherbet to every kind of chocolate you can imagine, and they’re surprisingly cheap too. All milkshakes are made to order with fresh ingredients, and taste divine. (Mostly, Jellybean is a bit unusual though). The staff are friendly and good-​humoured, and always make an effort to chat to you while you are waiting for your drink which is pleasant. A must visit for anyone with a sweet tooth! I recommend the kinder bueno shake, it’s unbelievably good.
