I would love to give these guys another star but really can’t. This is a massive warehouse of outdoor gear at great prices. Variations is sizes styles can be limited especially if something is on offer. Where they are let down is there customer service. Staff really don’t seem to care. If you ask about different sizes or ordering something in the are uninterested and tell you to go online. It’s one of these shops you’ll continue to visit out of need rather than because you enjoy it. Finally location in clydebank isn’t the easiest to get too from the city unless you drive or fancy a bit of a walk from the station

This place is outside. You have got to drive — unless you live at the Clydebank Retail Park. Strap in for a journey otherwise. Once you arrive — it is bloody huge. Everything is covered. Hiking, camping, cycling, climbing, horseback riding. The whole lot. Start to think of something you can do outside — too late they already have it. Decent amounts of stuff and reasonable prices. BTW a word on the Card. Just get it. I hate cards — and will constantly complain about them. But this one is cheap and gets you up to 50% off the price of stuff. It is only a fiver. Don’t be an obstinant dick. Pay the fiver and join the Go Outdoor family. I would say it is worth it. Worth a trip — and it is a trip., If you tend to wake up and are surrounded by grass or on the back of a horse. This place may save you a few quid.

I’m not as outdoorsy as I’d like to be, but last week I decided to take a camping trip with G-Bot and after being suckered in by the clever early morning advertising by GO Camping on TV I decided to take a trip and see if I could get any bargains. Everything, it appeared had 50% off and I got rather excited of the prospect of getting a real bargain. I jumped in and out of all the different tents to see what one I liked best. Some were too big, some to small and some were so narrow and tunnel like that I felt like I was lying in a coffin. It gives me the shivers just thinking about it… I ended up finding the perfect tent, suitable for 3 people, very spacious and high enough to feel like a tent and not a coffin. It has been £70 but was reduced to £29.99! What a bargain! I grabbed one and proceeded to take it to the checkout only to find that it was £70??? I was then informed that if you want to receive the discount price, you have to have a discount card which costs £4 to buy. I have to admit, even though it’s only £4, I thought that was a bit ridiculous! Nobody in their right mind is going to not buy the card and for out another £40 so I went along and got a card even though I’ll probably never use it again as I don’t see myself turning into Action Man anytime soon. After taking the tent away camping I can confirm that it’s definitely a keeper and comparing it to other Vango tents I did get a good bargain but I still feel that the card thing is a little bit cheeky…
