We stayed at the Home Farm Bed and Breakfast across the street and stopped in the night we got in a for a beer. Everyone was so welcoming. There was a sweet black lab sleeping in the pub area who greeted us as we wandered it for a couple of drinks and we ended up petting Shadow and tossing a ball for him the rest of the night. There were a couple of locals in drinking when we came in and we ended up closing the place. The owner/​bartender explained the intricacies of Cricket to us and gave us a recipe for Pimm’s.
The best meal I have ever had in the UK. On Sundays they have a Carvery which gets you two meats of four available (ham, roast beef, roast pork or turkey. There are a ton of sides that include yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, cauliflower with cheese, parsnips, mashed sweet potatoes and more. A truly delicious meal.

We were told about this place whilst living in Chippenham for a couple of years.
All the food is home cooked, the quality is not only fantastic but consistent. The steak and ale pie was my favourite but I was slowly working my way through the menu ;-).
An excellent family atmosphere with kids more than welcome, If your in Wiltshire you have to visit this place.
