A Bengali restaurant in Chesterfield. Went for a friends birthday. Was not expecting amazing food but at least something decent. menu looked quite good with a good variety. I ordered the Prawn Bhuna with Garlic Naan. Requested for the Garlic Naan to have butter on it and no ‘ghee’(clarified butter — ghee is the pure butterfat left over after the milk solids and water are removed from butter.) They said they only have ghee so requested not to have any ghee put on at all, which they were fine with. The naan was not that good as it wasn’t fluffy or tasty and towards the end of the meal — it tasted a little stale. The prawn bhuna was again nothing special. It was extremely bland, and found there was very little prawns in the prawn bhuna. the group were quite happy with their food, not sure if it is because of my heritage that I know exactly what certain foods should taste like but this is one restaurant I definitely would not recommend visiting.
