There are a few chip shops in Chester, in fact there is another one directly opposite Jacks! But if I’m in that part of town (really close to Tesco) then it is very difficult to walk past without popping in for a cone of chips. The chips are far better than those from the place across the way, and they offer the usual fish n chip menu. If you prefer to eat in, there there are plenty of seats, and the staff are all very friendly. The prices seem reasonable although the cost has gone up in recent months. One thing to watch out for is the opening hours, we were in need of chips on a Wednesday evening but had to settle for an inferior brand!
