This is a really excellent gastropub. I’ve eaten lunch here twice and both times it was very good. They have a number of good beers on tap that change periodically. Their menu runs the full spectrum from 3 course suppers to lunch time sandwiches.
Both times I’ve been there have been blazing fires in the fireplaces and plenty of seats at comfy sofas. They have a nice dining room towards the back away from the noise. They also have a reasonable set of dishes for kids and a very small kids play area in front. I’ve only been on wet, dreary winter days. But I bet the outside seating is fabulous in good weather.
The food is delicious. I’ve had a roasted vegetable and hummus focaccia, and the red onion bhaji. My colleagues got burgers and steak sandwiches that they quite liked. Highly recommended.
