Lovely views of watching planes coming and going. Food is good as well, nice place to go in the summer and sit ouside with a cider

I disagree with the category — this is a pub/restaurant. Excellent location, good service, good range of meals. Open at times other places are closed, so great as an impromptu destination. Also convenient for the cycle route round the airport. Can get busy, and space limited inside in winter, but wonderful to sit outside in the summer and watch the planes.

Great little café, visited with family. Great breakfast, good coffee. Fantastic view of the airfield and great provision for kids, very family friendly. I did notice the wasps some refer to though, they were massive. I am phobic. So that didn’t help They were not plagued though, just noticed them

Set in the edge of the Airport with wonderful views of planes landing and taking off. If you live fairly local great for a bike ride or Good walk(blackerry picking on the way in Autumn) Though there is a free carpark Plenty of tables set outside on a raised grass area were you can enjoy just a drink(alcohol or just soft drink/coffee) as you watch the planes Though you can be plagued with wasps Good Menu at very reasonable prices. Cater well for children

Recently had the misfortune to spend a week on a course with work at Gloucester Airport, and the highlight of every day was the visit to The Aviator at lunchtime! If you’re a spotter this is a great place to dine as it is located just off the main runway undershoot and you get a good view of quite a large part of the Apron as well. If you’re not a spotter(like me) you can admire the nice solid oak dining tables that you’re eating dinner from! The service was good although it does get very busy at lunchtime and on some days we had to queue for quite a while before being served. Food was excellent, and not bad value for money. If you like goat’s cheese, you’ll love the goat’s cheese panini with honey and chilli — very yum. Only complaint was that they were charging branded prices for non-branded goods. If you order a Coke, you get some sort of generic Rola-Cola instead, and the J2O is actually something called ‘H’ in an almost identical bottle. But that’s a minor complaint, and you can’t blame them for trying to keep costs down. A nice trip out for lunch, a good place to take granny or the kids(highchairs available, and plenty of space for them too). Signs saying wifi available although I didn’t try it out.
