Cheadle Village used to be the place to go with the George as a starting point followed by Weavers and the White Hart to dance until the early hours. Unfortunately the George and Weavers are no longer with us so Cheadle has seen a vast decline on the night scene front over the years with most now migrating towards Didsbury to get their fill. Being a Cheadle girl I am a regular in these parts visiting friends and seeing old faces. The place to do that is the Crown with the lovely Karen at the helm. With regular football on the big screens, karaōke on a Friday and a DJ on a Saturday there is entertainment galore. There’s a lot of real ale on offer for those who like that sort of thing. The wine isn’t great but they do a great deal on Fridays on the prosecco, cava and champagne. I don’t go here for the amazing drinks, I go here for the amazing people and the regular nights they put on. It is the place to be in Cheadle at the moment.

poor winey you must have had a bad day, granted the wine is terrible, my wife says its awful, but the place is very friendly, lots of locals, and a good sing along on a friday night, call in when out and about in Cheadle, and have never had a bad pint our seen any trouble, its an older persons pub apart from Sunday and Saturdays when its a mixed bag

Where to start, hostile, unfriendly management and rubbish wine! At least the other staff try but following the led of the owners son it’s not a tough act to follow.
