Having lived in the area for sometime often considerd checking out this Mediterranean restaurant but kept putting it off. Well having visited last Saturday I wish that we had gone before. Very relaxed atmosphere, simplle décor and the food was absolutely delicious. The portions are large and the choice is wide and the waitress fully explained what was available. Although busy by the time we left, did not feel rushed. Good value, will definately return!

This little gem of a restaurant is well worth a visit. If you have a(large) appetite for excellent food and company, you won’t be disappointed. The restaurant is very family-friendly and has a large menu of Mediterranean food… but the staff are more than happy to create dishes to your preferences. Now this service may sometimes take a little longer than average… but it is worth the wait. If it’s a formal restaurant your after, try elsewhere, but if you’re into good affordable food in a great atmosphere… Olivish is the place I recommend.

Tucked in amongst the higgledy-piggledy shops on the High Street, Olivish is a modern, cosmopolitan, family-friendly restaurant also catering for groups of office workers and romantic couples. Brightly-lit, clean and airy it’s the sort of place that attracts newcomers passing through the town. Serving up pasta, pizza, meat dishes and a huge variety of internationally-influenced concoctions, Olivish’s menu would make Gordon Ramsay feel a little faint! Although the choice on the menu is extensive, bottled mineral water is frequently on short supply! Pizzas are thin and crispy however, and topped with whatever takes your fancy. There’s even a Viking-ship shaped one! Service, early on a Saturday evening, is surprising slow however, so bring distractions if eating with young children.
