During our visit in Scotland, we stayed at West Mains Steading for 2 nights. The bed and breakfast was one of the fancier ones that I’ve stayed in. Anne the owner is one of those people that can connect with anyone right away, she greeted us at the door and showed us our room, explained the little things, and of course most importantly, asked what we wanted for breakfast the next morning. Our room was very nice, big windows with plenty of light, lots of closet space and a comfy bed. Our view was of the backyard if you will, with lots of greens that I just don’t see very often back home. Even though the bathroom is not en-suite, it is very clean and pretty. The standing glass shower is probably the tiniest shower I have ever been in though. My husband at pretty bad allergies(hay fever) during our stay, and Anne kindly provided what suitable meds she had. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay, and almost forgot to mention that the breakfast is superb.
