Wilkinson

It is impossible for me to set foot in this shop and not spend way too much money. Ironic really, given how cheap it is. Wilkinson is like a pound shop with nice things.
There’s a great range of toiletries (although some things are cheaper in Savers; it’s worth comparing before buying too much), and it has an excellent first aid section.
There’s all kinds of cleaning stuff and kitchen equipment that is ideal for students moving into their first flat/​house.
I’m not going to list everything that rocks about this place. If you’ve never been you’ll have to go and see how awesome it is for yourself. It has pretty much everything you need for your home at great low prices.
And it sells a few groceries too, although I tend to only buy crisps and sweets here because it sells crisp flavours you only usually get in multipacks, and their Haribo Starmix is 59p.
The only disappointment is that the pet section isn’t as big as it is in some stores, and they don’t have as much stationary. Actually, come to think of it, this is a slightly smaller Wilkinson, but I’ve never had a problem finding what I want.

I was really pleased when they opened a wilkinsons in Cardiff as they are quite cheap places to buy toiletries and home products, I visit this store frequently as they sell a wide range of DIY products and I am currently doing up my house — but they have a good range of soft furnishings, garden stuff and furniture — they also sell food and its worth having a look as you can often pick up a bargain. Their staff are friendly and helpful — the last time I visited I wanted some catlitter — as this is quite heavy one of the members of staff went and picked up a basket on wheels for me to help me take it to the till — they also will point out at the till if you have missed any special offers on the products you are buying so you dont miss out.
