Roy Jenkins Hall, a bit like Gordon Hall, is one of the smaller and quieter Halls of Residence in which Cardiff University undergraduates can stay(although it also takes postgraduates as well) — and again it has shared bathroom facilities, which will not appeal to everyone! It only houses 42 students in total, split into flats of five people with shared kitchen and dining areas, and shared bathrooms. Personally, as a first year student I’d rather live in a larger, livelier Halls of Residence with en suite rooms such as Talybont, even if it is a bit further to walk to lectures! If, however, you would rather live somewhere smaller, and you don’t mind the whole shared bathroom situation, this Halls might just suit you. There are plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants around, and the Cooperative supermarket is right nearby, plus the main campus and Students’ Union buildings are only a short walk away. There are also bike sheds on site, and car parking for 20.
