I went here with a group of young mums with even younger babies. On entry you instantly feel safe as the entry gate has a locking device. This can only be unlocked when a member of staff presses a button behind the counter. I liked this as you know there is no way your little one can escape. Bambeans itself is a café with a play area for babies/toddlers and young children. Everything a child could want is under this roof with the added extra of having a stylish little area for mums to sit and chat over coffee. The play area has everything to keep your little monkey entertained from a library to a sensory room. One thing I particularly liked was the choice of activities for really ickle babies such as a soft play area. There is a fee to enter ranging from £1.50-£4.50 depending on your childs age, the day and whether it is term time or not. They do sell drinks and snacks but if i were you I would eat before you go as it is very basic and can work out expensive.

This funky new business offers a «children’s multi-sensory world» where they can taste, touch, smell, see and hear many things that will open their eyes, engage their minds and offer them plenty of fun. Apart from the sensory room, there’s a soft play area and a library stocked with lots of English and Welsh children’s books, plus Einstein’s Corner dedicated to science for slightly older children. It’s not ONLY designed for children, however; it also has comfortable sofas where parents can kick back with relaxing music and enjoy freshly ground coffee or some food, chat, play mind puzzle games, or read the newspaper. The business has already won the ‘They’re The Business” Award in March 2010, backed by the South Wales Echo and Park Inn City Centre, and their concept seems to be doing well. They can also offer private parties for children’s birthdays.
