8 To Late

There is nothing wrong with this place. After all, it’s a corner shop. What can really be wrong with a corner shop? This one, actually, is better than your normal run of the mill shop. But, having said that, it doesn’t offer anything that I was particularly impressed with. Confused? I was. I didn’t understand my own feelings.
I think what the problem was was that I was used to corner shops that drop below the mark of what I expected (there is a really good little shop in my village at home so my corner shop expectations are high). This one was clean, well-​laid out, cheap and well-​staffed. But it didn’t blow me away.
Can a corner shop ever blow you away? That’s probably what you’re thinking. Well, come to my village and step inside our shop. You’ll see what I mean.
