Decent food at a decent price generally(though there are some pricey exceptions) and a fair chance of spotting an obscure celebrity too. Not bad. The bar itself is well stocked, the atmosphere is relaxed, the service is excellent and all in all it’s a nice place to spend an afternoon. When the evening rolls round however, talk about beauty and the beast. The tables are moved to the side and loud, obnoxious drunks fill the entire venue. This isn’t too bad until you spot the occasional creepy bloke staring at a young girl across the makeshift dance floor. The smoking area is the largest area there, the toilets are cramped and the queue for the bar is longer than the queue to complain about Katie Hopkins’ latest remark. Be sure to visit if the sun is out, but when it sets, avoid it unless everywhere else is full and you’ve literally got no choice.

Horrific food, appalling service. The contents of a «thai fish cury» and a «fisherman’s pie» ought to be different. They were not. Couldn’t tell them apart aside for the potato topping. Disgusting to boot… just a white mess with very little fish in it. Foul. Not quite as foul as the service… despite having a valid voucher, they refused to honour it, and it nearly an hour after asking for the bill for the THIRD time… we left our money on the table and left. I’d rather eat in a sewer.

Simple, clean décor, done in a brewery/mill theme. Modern yet tradtional, it provides a nice relaxed atmosphere with good service. Food is to a high quality standard, tasty and well presented in true gastropub style. The credit crunch lunch deal is good for a starter and main meal @ around £8, but some of the other meals are a bit pricey; acceptable though in terms of the overall quality and service provided. Very impressed.

Went along for their 25 quid for two offer. The food was okay, but the menu didn’t offer much choice. The service was probably the best part. The restaurant and pub are a very nice atmosphere though and we do often go there for a few drinks. In terms of the offer, it wasn’t too bad

Really great atmosphere. Classy pub restaurant with Michael Caine’s specialities. Great seating — not too tight so you feel you have room to breathe and be yourself. Cosy for a couple or great for larger parties.
