Stagecoach runs buses around Herne Bay on the Triangle route. Herne Bay — Canterbury — Whitstable. At peak times you get four buses an hour running into Canterbury from Herne Bay. Most of the time only two of the four buses are actually on time but they do normally turn up after 5 or 10 minutes. It just gets a bit annoying if you have to be somewhere and the bus ends up making you late.
Drivers in the morning: There are a few drivers in the morning who are quite rude. I have seen the same one lay into school kids for having a note instead of a load of silver coins. I am sure it is irritating for the drivers but don’t take it out on a little kid. Its 8am in the morning none of us are that happy.
Overall the rest of the drivers are normally quite good. The ones working early evening are probably the friendliest. I’m not sure if this is because there finishing but they always have a chat as you get on.
Pricing: I personally think it all costs too much. £5.20 for a return to Canterbury is more than you would pay if you drove and thats if you used park & ride as well.
Overall the bus service is ok, not brilliant but it gets you there kinda on time and for a bit too much money.

Stagecoach runs numerous bus lines in Kent. When we spent our holiday in Margate, we were using The Thanet Loop. The Loop connects the cities of Margate, Broadstairs, Ramsgate and Westwood within the Isle of Thanet.
During daytime, the buses run every 10 minutes. They run until 11.30 pm, from 7 pm every 30 minutes.
The tickets are from 60 p, depending on the distance. Day tickets for the Isle of Thanet cost GBP 2.60.
The buses are a good alternative to go around the Isle of Thanet. We went on the Loop as often as possible.
