Tucked away down a back passage (ooo er), next to a painfully chocolate-​boxey chapel, G. David has a reasonable selection of second hand, remaindered, and vintage books, typically of a high brow nature. Bookshelves outside have bargains on them, if you’re after obsolete 1950s commentaries on Greek plays, or perhaps something to do with slide rules. The sort of place you’d expect to hear someone ask for «Flyfishing, by J.R. Hartley»; definitely more for grownups than children, but delightful nonetheless.
