Actually quite a good bar. Though small and needs the outdoor area/courtyard to accommodate drinkers, otherwise it’s very crowded. Its downside are the back of house areas such as toilets, where they get messy quickly and no one seems to clean up.

Surprisingly good food for the price and friendly staff. Recently had a refurbishment which gives it a real wow factor and they’ve also introduced quite a few new drinks as well such as doing cocktails in the upstairs bar. Overall definately the best place to go in Cambridge if your wanted a drink and some food in a classy atmosphere.

personally I really don’t like this place on weekend evenings. It is always rammed which means constant jostling for standing room and being pushed by passing people. Hold on to your wine glass tight! There is a massive queue for the bar and a long wait to get a drink. The wine was expensive for what it was. The younger amngst you may well love this sort of atmosphere so don’t let me put you off but nowadays I prefer not to be crammed into a space with long queues for the bar.

This is great place to meet friends on a Firday and Saturday night. The décor is good, and the service is too! It does get extremely packed on a Saturday night, but there are several levels to go to and a small terrace. Lunchtime food is lovely too. You can hold a tab with them and pay at the end, which makes it much more convenient to obtain a few wines and enjoy a long slow lunch with a lovely atmosphere.

B Bar is lovely, and over 21s which means you won’t have drunk 18 year olds trying to get in, hopefully! I’ve always been struck by how good the service is in here — always friendly and polite. They have a good selection of drinks but I’ve usually gone in here for food which is delicious, especially the desserts! It’s also HUGE! There is a little terrace on the first floor so you can watch the passers by — unfortunately people smoke here, but what can you do. Also a nice place to come for a coffee on a sunday afternoon.

B Bar is a very cool, retro place, with a spacious layout, long bar and comfortable chairs. Set on 3 levels, you can enjoy a bite to eat downstairs, relax with a glass of wine on the sofas or head up to the top bar for a more lively time. The food is delicious, and ambitious for a venue which is primarily a bar. The menu is different from many places in Cambridge, breaking away from the ‘boring’ dishes which are so frequently seen on chain menus, and offering something a bit different from other places around. The staff are very friendly, and leave you to enjoy your evening without rushing you out. The toilets are very clean and swanky as well, and the different atmospheres of the different floors allows you to have a range of experiences under one roof. A great place to come for a few drinks with friends. Plus, it is over 21’s only, so you are guaranteed not to have your night ruined by Sixth Form students!

Have been here so many times i cant remember. Have visited on new years eve and others nights in between. Lovely bar, pretty good service(when its not heaving) just a nice bar all round really. Does get super crowded at times though and i find the layour downstairs is a bit awkward when busy, they should knock the pillars down to make more room! Nice that they have two floors, but still gets busy. Nice place to have some drinks in a classy setting, trouble is half of cambridge thinks the same thing too.

Tall, modern windows reach from the warm, chilled-out bar venue to restaurant above. B Bar is an elegant, stylish venue for effortlessly satisfying lunches or an after work drink. Potentially an impressive destination for a first date — gents take note. The spacious bar covers two levels and benefits from a lack of irritating bustle, allowing the customer to enjoy their(mediumly expensive) beverage and admire the scenery.

B bar is a great place to go to either to escape the shoppers, for lunch or after work its perfectly situated in the city centre. The bar has all you need from a good range of wines and drinks to snacks and main meals. It attracts a complete mix of people so theres always lots of atmosphere and lots going on without it being too hectic. B bar is set over 3 floors with mezzenine levels to add to the open feel, theres also a great outside terrace for the summer. It feels quite trendy however its very welcoming and anyone can feel at home here.

Apparently this venue used to house the Arts Cinema and it shows — the rooms are huge with high ceilings adorned with stunning light fittings. My book club meets here every month firstly because it’s so central, secondly because it’s the sort of bar where women can sit on their own without getting hastled, and thirdly because the staff are really nice at cartering for one of our party who is a coeliac and whose diet is restricted. The menu is constantly updated and has a mediteranean feel to it with plenty of vegetarian options and a chef who is happy to adapt dishes to suit you. I’ve eaten most things on the menu and I can honestly say that they’ve all been great. Friendly professional staff who will go that extra mile to help you coupled with a lovely open setting. The air con can be a bit overwhelming at times so make sure you don’t sit right under the vent unless you want to spend the evening in your coat that is. Great place to go after work to unwind and meet friends.
