Cinnamon

A very good curry house well worth a try.

My salsa friend Hilary and I didn’t really have a dinner plan when we went to the salsa party in Frimley last Friday. Once we had located the venue for the party, we headed off towards teh town centre in search for food.
I spotted Cinnamon close to our dance venue and dived in to park. Although we didn’t have a reservation, we were seated quickly.
They had made an effort with Christmas decorations but there was a slightly strange wall which appeared to be covered with tin foil
We went with one of the waiter’s suggestion — nawab tawa lamb as well as choosing chicken makhani and sheek kebab. We paired this with pilau rice and a puri
The curries were wonderfully and expertly flavoured. The makhani was sweet but the fenugreek came through nicely. The lamb was a good contrast with more earthy flavours — I’m thinking cumin and/​or coriander. The sheek kebab was also nice with a slight kick of chilli to liven up the tastebuds
The only slight disappointment was my mango lassi which still had undissolved granules of sugar but the flavour was right
This was an unexpected find and a bonus great start to our top evening of dancing. If we come back to this area to dance again, I’d be very happy to pop in here again for another meal
