This is one of the better TK Maxx stores I have visited as there is regular new stocks and the store does not feel so much like a jumble sale. There are lots of bargains to be had in the various departments. Parking is available outside the store however it is pay and display and the carpark is checked regually so dont be tempted to nip in without paying.

TK Maxx, a discount store with up to 60% off rrp, is located on Angouleme Retail Park, Bury. It is almost like a department store, it has clothes,(ladies, mens, kids) sports kit, home accessories, toys and shoes etc. I personally cannot stand it for clothes shopping as it feels too much like a jumble sale, where you have to rummage for items as opposed to them being on display, but I am told that the way to do it is to go with an item of clothing in mind, i.e., a t-shirt, as opposed to browsing like you would in debenhams etc. I do however LOVE the kitchen department, with brands such as Le Cruset, it’s a real bargin. Great for xmas gift buying too. I find this store much better than the newly constructed one in Bolton. It feels as though it is better laid out.

This is quite a good store in this massive chain. The range of clothing is good and they have a steady flow of stock. The homeware department is also recommended. There is two hours free parking outside the store, but beware of the rest of the car park, it seems to be operated by different companies with differing restrictions so check the signs to make sure that you don’t get caught out.

This TK Maxx is miles better than the one in Manchester City Centre — always a fab bargin to be found, especailly in homewares.

This is one of the better TK Maxxes. Quite large, with plenty of stuff to spend a couple of hours looking through. I’ve had quite a few bargains from this branch. Parking can be a major problem though, and the car park isn’t the easiest to manœuvre into if you’ve got an enormous family-wagon like me, but that’s fairly trivial and it’s worth the effort. It gets very busy, but there’s a long line of cashiers so normally the queue doesn’t take too long to clear. Last time I was there it was rather untidy, but I’m hoping that was just because final clearance was on and will give them the benefit of the doubt and award 5⁄5.

TK Maxx is similar to a designer outlet boasting many designer items at cut down prices. The Bury branch is a massive shop spread out on several floors offering everything from clothes to lampshades to luggage to toys. The bury branch is one of the better TK Maxx’s that I have visited as they have a tendency to look messy and cramped making you have to root through things to locate something you may want which is always off putting to me. The stock is ever changing and unpredictable so if you see something you really want i’d advise you buy it there and then as chances are high it may not be there next time you visit. The Bury branch is quite spacious and bright and the main floorspace between the clusters of departments is fairly easy to navigate although the store lacks any real uniformity in it’s layout so can be a little disorientating.
