Have visited this lovely restaurant many a time now, and only had one bad experience(nobody’s perfect!) — and on that occasion, the staff were very quick to apologise and make sure everyone was all smiles once more. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming, which is a refreshing change from the usual frosty reception from many of the staff at other local eateries. Starters, mains AND desserts have always been delicious and I never leave penniless… great value for money. I suppose the view of the garage isn’t ideal, but do any places in Burnham have breathtaking views? I LOVE Dunstan House despite it being plonked on Burnham’s busiest road next to a bleak looking hospital! The interior is cosy and warm and I generally forget where I am when I’m inside. although that may have something to do with the excessive wine consumption. Definitely, DEFINITELY choose this place over La Vela — which is VILE.

I really liked this new Italian restaurant. I came from London to visit a good friend and we went there. The food was really fresh and i could taste the flavours of the sea in my fish, it was superb. I really would like it if he opened a restaurant in London one day!

Had been there before and enjoyed the food and service. However, our experience on St Valentine’s Day 2009 was appalling and we will never go there again. My steak was miniscule(though the price wasn’t!). When first brought to the table, it was cold, as were the vegetables. On complaining, they were taken back and reheated but this left my wife(whose main dish was hot) without veg. She got her veg with mine, after she had finished her main dish! The second time, my steak was hot but appeared even smaller. Complaints seemed to fall on deaf ears. The service was extremely slow. We arrived at 7.30pm but didn’t finish our main course until 10.30pm. When we went up to the bar to pay our bill, we complained again but the response was heavy sarcasm. Not an experience I would wish to repeat. The Chandni Indian Restaurant, on the other hand is always 5 star, both in terms of food and service.

We visited Bonomo’s a few weeks ago and had a good meal, price reasonable and we were not rushed. However we went on St Valentine’s night and though we were not rushed they were very busy and it was difficult to get the attention of the staff. My starter was missing the parmesan shavings, I was not offered any parmesan or black pepper with my main and part of my desert was also missing. It would seem that the staff were fairly inexperienced with coping with a crowd. There also seemed to be a private party in one area of the restaurant. As we had been before and had a good experience I would visit again, however if that was not the case for some diners they may not return. We revisited Bonomos a couple of weeks ago. Much better evening. No rushing, staff helpful and friendly. Above all the food was exactly what we had ordered and was way above our expectations. There was a new chocolate desert on the menu for the first time that evening, it was to die for. We will most definately be returning especially as it is about a five minute walk from our house. We would urge locals and visitors to give it a try. Thorneywitch

This restaurant has only recently opened in Burnham. I visied it for a birthday meal. The restaurant was more spacious than I expected and it was nicely decorated. Although there was a bright light shining into our eyes which we have to reposition! The staff were polite and friendly, but they did make me feel a little rushed e.g. asking me if I was ready to order when I had just sat down. I really liked the food I had; a large pizza with chunky mushrooms, some of the prices of other dishes were on the high side and some of the meat dishes were served without any accompanying vegetables. On the whole I liked the restaurant and I would eat here again.

This is a new Italian restaurant that has opened up in Burnham on Sea. I went there for the first time yesterday, and found that the restaurant was smart, clean and modern looking but also managed to feel quite cozy with warm colours and candles. The staff were friendly but some of the waiting staff did not know much about the menu, I asked a question about what was in a certain dish and was told by the waiter that he didn’t know what was in it! He did go and find out for me though. There was also some confusion about wine glasses and how many people we had booked for but these problems were resolved with a friendly approach from the staff. The food itself was delicious! I had the vegetarian risotto which had mushrooms, courgettes and sun dried tomatoes in it, it was really tasty and had plenty of vegetables in it. My husband had a pizza and he said it was great too. My only complaint with the food is that the vegetarian dishes don’t have a ‘v’ by them so I nearly ended up eating a starter that had meat in it.
