We went for a pre-Christmas family meal. The food is very authentic, very well cooked Italian. We had a 3 courses and a bottle of wine for £35 each. The staff are really friendly and professional. We were given a table as far away from the families with children as possible(though they were very well behaved). All the meat was perfectly cooked and the specials were big portions. The pasta was perfect with a full bodied, light and well balanced ragu. The desserts were all fresh and extremely yummy. This restaurant could get a 5 if it had: — more vegetarian choices — some of the other meat/fish mains could easily be made and advertised with vegetarian options and none of the specials were vegetarian. — some dishes that were really unusual — I do see and eat really special Italian food in Manhattan like Porchini & Beetroot Gnocchi or White Bean & Black Olive Ravioli. — Higher quality olive oil — the table oil was not the best and could be upgraded. — Offer excellent, high quality Parmigiano Reggiano with the starters and pasta. All in all very good. Recommended.
