It says Portuguese restaurant but I was not that impressed by the food. It was not any different from anything I’ve eaten before. That doesn’t mean it was bad on the contrary, the restaurant is great and deserves your attention.

So good! Always cheap and great service! I come here all the time. The chicken and chips are great and the cakes are always incredible! A hidden gem!

Newly-opened café down Tulse Hill, within striking distance of Brockwell Park. Sandwiches are cheap and nice — crusty, fluffy grilled bread with free-range chicken, bacon, and avocado and a little iceberg: £3.50. You can’t beat it. Staff are nice in a very un-English way, though that’s not to detract. A list of hot mains makes this a potential evening spot for a spare but filling meal. All in all, a pleasant discovery.

Ate here tonight for the first time. Had a delicious chicken burger, the best I’ve had in ages. So simple, but so tasty. The cakes looked amazing but was too full to try this time, shame. Lovely service as well. Will definitely be going back.

I live in the next road along and this place has been keeping me fed since it opened. A lovely family run restaurant with a simple but perfectly done menu. Over the years I must have had everything on the menu and have yet to be disappointed. The takeaway menu provides a cheap but tasty dinner but it’s also worth sitting in, not to mention the breakfasts which are great and well worth popping in for. Glad to see people have mentioned the cakes. The only problem with them is choosing which one to have… they’re all delicious! One of a few hidden gems around the Brixton area that I’m always telling friends to check out. Make sure you pop down if happen to find yourself in that part of town. If you live there then you have no excuse!

This place is London’s best kept secret. Not too expensive, but awesome food. My personal favourites are the peri peri chicken or the steak, but I’m told the lamb is divine too. Deserts are to die for — try the chocolate and bailey’s cheesecake — better than anything Gordon Ramsay could hope to aspire to! And to top that off it has a lovely atmosphere friendly, relaxed and welcoming.

A lovely little eatery in Tulse Hill. I had Tiger Prawns as a starter, a dish I would thoroughly recommend with lovely garlic butter, delightful Salsa dip and fresh bread. My main The Steak and dessert of Marble Cake were very generous. The services was just the right mix off attentiveness, without overcrowding us. Brazas also has a great little deli at the front of house so if you don’t have time to have a meal you can still experience their cuisine. Being just 5mins from where I live I am surprised I haven’t ventured in before but will definitely be doing so again!
