Not bad but not outstanding at all. I could have made better food myself to lie. Sure the wine was not bad as you would expect because wine is already produced so should be good. But, the general flavours didn’t wow me. The service was very good no complaints there at all.

Not as I expected from here, have only heard great things but my visit was not great. A really nice looking restaurant in a brilliant location, great for a quick lunch or an evening meal. The staff seemed to be a tad on the grumpy side, never a good thing when eating out. Was easy to get a table, had the pleasure of choosing our table wich is always nice. The wait for food wasn’t to long although my order of garlic bread didn’t come out with my main, we had to ask for it and was told it would be on it’s way, clearly the chef had forgot about this as he was seen preparing then placing in to the oven. Almost finished my pasta by the time it came out, who wants to carb overload on garlic bread after my main dish, not me ! pointless having it at that point, no apology for the timing either. The pasta was sloppy, to much sauce and a tasteless dish. I would have made a better dish from the microwave with good old dolmio !! Not a great visit, will be visiting another zizi soon to see if it was just this one I hope I’m not put off for life !!

I usually love Zizzis but my last visit left me feeling pretty disappointed. We only popped in for a quick lunch whilst we were child free so we both ordered the rigatoni pollo funghi and some garlic bread with cheese and caramelised onions to come out with our main meal. The wait for the food wasn’t long atall but I was rather underwhelmed when it came out, pretty tasteless and pasta was slightly undercooked. I had to ask a waitress where our garlic bread was but it was clear this had been forgotten about so by the time this arrived we had both finished our pasta. I personally didn’t like the garlic bread which is strange because it’s usually one of my favourite things but this time there was hardly any cheese and the onions were so sweet that they gave me heartburn. The staff weren’t very welcoming and borderline rude and considering the restaurant was quite dead they could have taken more care on our food.

Was meeting an old work colleague in town for lunch and they suggested this place. Being in Cabot circus I didn’t have the highest hopes but the place is surprisingly good. The fact that is was busy on a Monday lunch time was also a good sign. Within seconds of sitting down the waiter came and took our drink order and they were delivered promptly. The place is Italian so the menu is mainly pizza and pasta, but there are other dishes too. I noticed a good selection of healthier options which is good for an Italian especially when you just want a light lunch. I on the other hand was sharing mine with my son so we picked a pizza from the«rustic» menu which stated the pizza were fuller with more toppings than the standard. The pizza was called primavera and it was truly scrumptious! Topped with artichoke, aubergine, olives, rocket and cheese similar to goats cheese. It also had a pesto oil drizzled all over the top. I’m sure there were probably others toppings I forgotten too. Despite sharing we couldn’t finish it and left absolutely stuffed! If you eating out in town this is definitely one of the better places I’ve been to.

This particular branch of Zizzi is actually surprisingly nice — the place itself is really modern and beautifully designed, and the atmosphere is great. It’s generally a really busy place, both at lunch times and in the evenings — so it’s worth booking ahead to get a seat. It’s popularity adds to the atmosphere which is always buzzing! I would recommend this branch for all special occasions, as well as family meals. The service is great, it’s affordable, the staff are really friendly, and most importantly the food is amazing and portion sizes are so good! I actually have nothing bad to say. The balcony seating area upstairs is recommended too — its trendy and you can look down onto the restaurant which is pretty cool!

I only quite recently discovered the Zizzi chain, and have to say I have generally been really impressed by it. Maybe it’s just because I haven’t been as many times or because there are less of them, but it just seems far less chainey than other standard Italian Pizza option. The pizza is really quite good, baked fresh before your eyes, they don’t have dough balls but they do have dough sticks, which on my last visit were a little less dough-ey and a little more hard-ey than I expected but nice nevertheless! The pastas come in deceivingly large portions too! I haven’t yet managed to have any room when it comes to desserts but I am always tempted. My only problem with this branch is that I like to be able to watch the world go by from the window, or at least feel like you’ve stepped off a busy street or town centre, sometimes being in the middle of a shopping centre can feel a little artificial.
