Vue cinema Longwell Green

I went to the cinema with my friend to watch inside out. We took a family combo, which turned out quite cheap. The nachos and popcorn were delicious, however I don’t think the film was that good.

This cinema is a fairly large vue cinema, with some above and below ground shared free parking. The cinema is pretty clean, and has recently installed some extra comfort seats for those with a bit more disposibble income. The films themselfs are mainly the chart movies, but they do show some other ones from time to time. They also have 18+ only nights some nights which can be nice when kids are being a pain. It offers a food and drinks bar which is on the expensive side, with drinks machines charging £2+ for a bottle of standard coke.

This may not be the perfect cinema and admittedly the prices of food and drink are too high (but aren’t they always?!) but on the whole this is an ok cinema. There is plenty of choice of refreshments with something to suit most people. The best thing about the cinema though it the seating. Plenty of legroom and the absolute best thing is you can move the armrest out of the way so you can get nice and comfy without having an armrest stuck in your ribs!
The cinema also run a kids club on a saturday morning which great if you are stuck for something to do with bored kids.
There is plenty of parking and it’s free!

Good cinema

The cinema is comfortable enough, the prices of drinks and sweets are dreadful, the staff are young people with no interest in the running of the place, and the queues during the school holidays was out of this world.
They were all queueing outside the door, we waited for 45 minutes, missed the start of the film waiting in the queue, so complained and left, the Manager came to see us and said she was sorry, but they hadn’t expected so many people to turn up, and nobody wanted to work! Trouble is nobody cares there.
