University Of The West Of England Bristol

In Summary I would like to say, thank you to UWE for giving so many wonderful memories and experiences over the past few years.
The teaching staff of the Bristol business school are a true credit to the University and it would be an understatement to say that they went above and beyond to make time for their students to assist them to achieve their maximum potential during their studies. Being an unfortunate student that had to experience a family grievance during my studies, many of the departmental staff made it their business to ensure that I had every ounce of academic & personal support through the most difficult time and that their door was always open if I needed any assistance.
I am so very happy that I now have a University degree and I can jump into the deep end of real working life, but their will always be a place in my heart for UWE as they armed me with the valuable skills and knowledge for the real business world, in addition to priceless memories.

The Faculty of Life Sciences is located in the Frenchay Campus of the University of the West of England. I have found the staff a bit mixed, but in general very good. I am reading BSc Psychology so I can only comment on this course.
In my first year I think we were given the slightly worse lecturers as I don’t remember really liking many of my lectures. However by second year they improved, and now in my third year I can honestly say I love all my teachers. I have been allocated an excellent supervisor for my dissertation who replies to emails within seconds and is always available for a meeting.
The content taught obviously varies, however I was given a huge module choice in my third year, and the topics covered are all really interesting. The facilities are also all very good, with huge laboratories and lecture halls. There are always enough computer rooms and also experimental rooms to practice presentations/​carry out work. In all, I am very impressed with the Faculty of Life Sciences.

Although it is not as widely regarded as Bristol University, UWE is fast becoming a well respected university and has several campuses dotted around the City. The main one is Frenchay which has excellent housing and facilities on site.

This is the biggest of all the West of England’s campuses with lots going on at all times. You name it, it’s offered by this huge student filled complex. There is a 24 hour library for those who work better in the evening or more likely, those who leave everything to the last minute. There’s a massive sports complex, which has a massive astro-​tirth pitch, raquet sport facilities and indoor football as well as numerous food hall, catering for the poor deprived student.
