I tried the Lounge initially, terrible queue, service and wait so headed to the Terrace instead. The service was great, they catered for soya milk drinkers and they have papers for a nice Saturday morning coffee break. There is an outside area which gets a nice lot of sunshine in the day. Worth a visit.

I came here when it was Quba Ice and before it was remodelled and had a tasty roast lunch here. However the service at the time was pretty appalling. The Terrace has an outdoor space with lots of tables, perfect for lunch on a sunny day as it was today! I was only seeking a nibble and had a house salad, the salad itself was fresh and tasty, crisp with fresh tomatoes and cucumber. I was left a bit underwhelmed by the dressing which tasted more like treacle than balsamic. My friend had a duck wrap which he really enjoyed. For fresh ingredients, definitely give the place a thumbs up. The card machine wasn’t working today so we had to pay by cash, luckily I had some cash in my wallet so didn’t have to head down to the atm. I think the lack of card machine is temporary however. Service was excellent, there is table service with a friendly waitress bringing drinks and food to your table who enquired to ensure we were enjoying our meal before leaving us to it. Thumbs up to The Terrace, it definitely feels more like a gastropub than a restaurant but its relaxed and friendly, a good place to go with a gang of friends.

The Terrace is one of those places which seem to transform once the bell rings at work to call the end of the day. During the morning you can pop along here and enjoy a very lovely croisant with your coffee, whilst checking up on your e-mails with all of the latest offers from one of those budget airlines clogging up your inbox — one such budgetline(i like to think i have just invented that word) tends to have a fascination with a truly horrific tone of the colour Orange. In the afternoon why not pop along for a tasty lunch from The Terrace’s scrumptious menu, which you may or may not choose to accompany with a cheeky little drink. Then in the evening why not go for one of the tasty meals, to be enjoyed on The Terrace’s well furnished outside seating area. On a tuesday you can even enjoy 2−4−1 cocktails from 5pm — 10pm, an absolute must for a mid-week(ish) tipple. Also on matchday’s this place turns into a hive of excitement as the expectant Bristol City fans converge in The Terrace for a pre-match drink & natter before heading to Ashton Gate with the hope that they come away happy after a thumping victory!

This is where North Street’s renowned café culture begins. A classy little café/restaurant, with a spacious terrace where you can sit and watch the world go by, this place is ideal for a morning coffee stint or a lazy lunchtime tea break. You can get a coffee and a croissant for £2.00 every morning until 12am, and revel in being so damned continental. In the evenings, The Terrace serves some mighty fine cocktails, and on Tuesdays between 5 and 10pm, they do a 2-for-1 cocktail special. And if you like your Italian grub, Wednesday is Italian Job night: If you buy two pizzas, you get a free bottle of wine. Offers like these are what make generally pricey places like The Terrace worthwhile.

I love this place, especially if the sun is high in the sky it’s a great place to sit outside with a few friends and cold beverages and while away a lazy sunny eve. You can get yourself a nice coffee and croissant every morning till 12. For you cocktail lovers out there on a tuesday they have a cocktail happy hour from 5pm — 10pm! I managed to get one or two *#Cough cough#* Mohjito’s in one tuesday, I remember it well, well not that well… There’s a good atmosphere inside, and some comfy chairs!
