Sandwich Bar

The Sandwich Bar is on Colston road just off the centre of Bristol. It is a small but perfectly adequate café which mainly serves (surprise surprise) sandwiches!
The service is good and efficient which is handy when you are in a hurry — there is nothing more annoying than someone who takes an age to make a simple cheese salad sandwich when you are already late for the bus/​work! There is a wide variety of fillings and snacks at a reasonable price. There is however limited seating therefore I would suggest a take away. There are a few seats outside, but when I recently visited there were a lot of builders right next door who most definitely voiced their opinions for everyone in a 100metre radius. With this in mind DO NOT sit outside!

Strategically placed so that when you’re leaving the city centre to walk home and at your very weakest you see this friendly looking place and cave in to your desire to have a sandwich. Not the biggest of portions, widest variety of fillings, or cheapest of prices. However, it does pretty well in all three categories, making it a great place to get some lunch.
Calm and pretty enough to want to eat in, this is a good place to take a mid-​shopping trip break. You can get drinks and crisps pretty cheap as well, and the sandwiches aren’t too small. All in all the Sandwich Bar is just what a sandwich bar should be.

This perfectly placed sandwich shop has saved me many times in a morning, when I’ve been late for work, rushed out the house, and managed to get to town just in time to squeeze in a little breakfast sandwich from the breakfast bar. Which, by the way, is very good, and in the healthy price region of £3 is excellent value for money. Lunch, is just as good too, with a wide array of sandwich fillings and savoury goods to choose from.
They also have the full range of hot drinks you can expect from a place like this, cold soft drinks and a selection of crisps. There’s a few seats at the window in order to sit and eat (take in the view of the new dazzling Colston Hall), and with kind and friendly staff I highly rate this place.

A great little shop to visit if you’re in the centre of town or dashing to Colston Hall in a hurry. It’s situated just across the road from the large music venue, next to Juice Recruitment and offers a wide range of sandwiches, wraps, baguettes and paninnis all made to order. You can also combine your sandwich with a drink and save money with the various meal deals. I particularly recommend the crayfish, lemon mayo and rocket sandwich, which at only £2.80 is a steal. Mmm Mmm.
