A quiet little place tucked away at the end of a row of shops on a side street. From the outside, it doesn’t look like much, and we went on recommendation for the food. Food wise, it certainly didn’t disappoint. Tasty and fresh, and very traditionally Italian. The service was very good, and its reasonably priced. A nice little find.

Rocco’s is a very understated family-run Italian restaurant serving delicious authentic food in good-sized helpings. The staff are so welcoming that it almost feels like visiting your own parents! They are child-friendly too, always making a fuss of our boys who also love it there.

Been going to Rocco’s for over 40 years. It was The Pasta and Pizza then run by Rocco’s mum and dad. It was good way back but Rocco has taken it on a stage with a new slant but keeping quality high. Not over smart like some others but friendly with excellent food at good value. My son has taken all his girls friends there over the years since he was introduced to the good life at the age of two!

If you are a pizza lover or just a fan of Italian food then you will probably enjoy this little Italian restaurant. It’s a very small little place that doesn’t look like anything special from the outside but once inside and seated the atmosphere is great and you can while away a few hours of an evening here very happily. The food here is actually brilliant, and the menu is everything you’d expect a good Italian to be — its both traditional and varied, and there is something for everyone. If there are certain things you don’t like from one option they are also very happy to alter dishes to your requirements — the staff are so friendly and helpful in this little joint that they make your evening as smooth as possible. On week nights Rocco’s never looks very busy so you wouldn’t need to make reservations, but Friday and Saturday nights are definitely in need of booking ahead — especially as there isn’t an overly large amount of seating in the place. I’d recommend this restaurant for any type of meal — from a meal with a friend, to a romantic date, to a family meal — Rocco will suit your Italian food needs.

I was a bit dubious about this place because most evenings when I walk past there is nobody dining there. However, I braved the restaurant and it was clear from the moment I stepped inside that my cynicisms were unfounded. The food was marvellous, the waiters attentive and the atmosphere very Italiano. I still have no idea why the restaurant isn’t more popular because I honestly could find no fault with anything. Most of the menu was very traditional but with a few quirks which make this stand out from other Italians. Ask the waiters about anything on the menu and you will quickly find yourself immersed in conversations(or should I say lectures?) about the origin and history of that dish. Great food, a lovely evening out, and to top it off, a new piece of useless information which may come in handy at your next pub quiz!

Rocco’s is a small, quaint Italian tucked away on the lower end of Gloucester Road. It looks very small from the outside, and although it isn’t massive inside, it’s cosy and feels very Italian. The food here is served Italian style(and by this I don’t mean Zizzi’s or Pizza Express style!). The menu is typical of what you would expect in rural Italy, as is the wine selection. The food is really amazing, and I would definitely worth a trip over here if you are in the area. I would suggest booking in advance as space is limited, especially on a Friday and Saturday evening.

I passed by the restaurant many times and never thought of eating here because it doesn’t seem very exciting from the outside. However, inside it’s rather very cosy and nice. Food was fantastic and as the earlier reviewer says the portions are very big. Service is also friendly. Highly recommend place food and a night out dining.

One of Bristol’s best restaurants, and a hidden gem of Bristol. In an area overflowing with expensive, pretencious restaurants Rocco’s is a breath of fresh air. Run by a neopolitan couple, the food is probably the best Italian in Bristol. A very small restaurant which may not look like much from the outside, but the service and the food is always top notch. The servings are always big, and the food is usually very quick, it is great value for money. The menu is extensive: i’d reccomend Angelotti Rocco if you feel like pasta and the Pizza Gloria. If you’re a fan of Italian this is the place to go in Bristol
