New Hong Kong Fish Bar

Ewwwwwwww So many better Chinese takeaways round here that just do Chinese food and don’t try to do fish and chips.
This is one of those old school style Chinese takeaways nothing has really moved on from the 1970s.
I had wait for it Sweet and Sour chicken balls and fried rice because I thought you can’t go wrong.
Wrong it was grim and went in the bin. There is a great takeaway down the road called Passion Wok also Thai Garden which to be honest is just as cheap to sit and eat in and let them do the washing up.
Avoid. Sorry guys up your game.

I really don’t understand Bristol’s obsession with chips and chinese! The chips taste like spring rolls and the chinese food tends to be only so so.
Sadly the same goes for The New Hong Kong Fish Bar.
The staff were not particularly unfriendly but weren’t particularly friendly either. The Décor of is not going to entice you in either. It was late, I was hungry and the Cross Hands had stopped serving so went here out of desperation really. The fried rice I got tasted like 3 day old leftovers. Despite the fact I was starving, I just couldn’t eat it.
Such a shame, but I’m not going to cry into my 3-​day old fried rice when yummy Li’s do home delivery! Sorry Hong Kong Fish Bar, you need to make a lot of changes before I’ll dare to eat there again.
