It’s great to see independent boutique’s like Motiq still thriving, granted in Clifton it would always do well, but when I went in I could hardly move — I think they’re reputation may have spread beyond Clifton. You know you’re in a good boutique when you’re not totally sure whether the dress you pick up is so chic it beautiful, or so naff it’s ugly! I felt about half and half on the things in here, and didn’t really like the jewellery options, but was taken in by the mix of fur, tutu’s, and other generally pink things. Lovely staff too.

Motiq always has managed to surprise me. From the outside, it looks like a fairly typical gift shop, but on entry you are instantly reminded that it is a jewellery shop also selling clothes. Whilst you’d expect the clothes to be a bit of a background event, I agree with Janine K, they are pretty trendy and affordable. The jewellery around the shop is varied and has so many different styles, from beady pieces to silver, to plastic and costume pieces, that there is something for every girl!

Fantastic and friendly boutique in Clifton. I was surprised at the clothes in here — unique and for 20−30something age group. They had some seriously funky sequin mini dresses in here for just £35. They also have a lot of jewellery — a mix of silver and costume jewellery. I particularly liked their vintage-esque brooches. Very unusual shop for us girls who like pretty and sparkly things!
