So as my first time having Indian food and it was over seas! I must say both the experience & the quality/taste of the food was fantastic! The service was phenomenal! We had questions on which plate to get so we asked our server & we had great suggestions from him & he even asked what kind of flavor we liked in regards to the curry! To all those who are trying this place for the first time must try their garlic nan! It was too good to be true! I’m a fan & ill be back!

Good curry house, really friendly staff. Popped in here on a Friday night, it has a relaxed atmosphere and a good choice of beers and as most curry houses an extensive menu. I can recommend the lamb tikka dupiaza, mushroom rice and peshwari naan. Our chicken jalfrezi lacked taste and spice but apart from that one dish it was very good. Next step, trying the take out when I’m too lazy to walk to the restaurant.

I love this place. Many years ago, I compared all the local Indian restaurants by the simple method of buying the same dish from them over the space of a week(chicken tikka biryani as it happens) to see which was the nicest. Whilst the wallet(and the waistline!) complained my taste buds didn’t. I found the Jubo Raj to be not only the tastiest but also the best service(as with many restaurants there’s a discount on takeaway orders) Now whenever I feel the urge for something I myself couldn’t cook I ALWAYS come here. They know me quite well and there’s always a bit of a chat to be had from the guys. G’wann treat yourself!

I have tried many curry places in Bristol and Jubo Raj remains my favorite. The quality of the food and the value can’t be beat. I am by no means an expert when it comes to curry, but I have been told that this is very authentic for north Indian/Pakistani cuisine. I brought a friend from Pakistan with me one time, and he was very impressed, claiming it was much more like the food he grew up with. The staff are very serious, and hard to visit with, but the atmosphere is pleasant and they do offer a student discount.

I love a good curry and like most of the curry restaurants in Bristol the Raj does not quite tick all the boxes. Don’t get me wrong the food is good, it has everything you would expect on the menu, it has a cobra to offer you, the service is good and it is reasonably priced. But that’s it. It does not offer anything special it just gives you what you would expect. Its nice to have as a local but i don’t get excited when we decide to go for a curry, and i wish i could.

A great little find after having a few pints on the white ladies road, I tried this pumpkin curry which I never had before and it was really nice. The staff was freindly which made the experience even better

This is my boyfriend’s favourite Indian Restaurant in Bristol and he would want me to give it five stars! To be fair, the food is really good, the service is even better — all the staff are so friendly and smiley and you can have a really good chat with them. They are also happy to recommend food if you’re not sure what you’d like to eat. Price wise, it’s reasonable, you get a discount if you order food to take away, not eat in and you generally don’t have to wait that long for your food, a maximum of twenty minutes.

The best Indian food in Bristol. I have returned for years to this restaurant for it’s fantastic indian cuisine and friendly staff. Always a treat to sit in with the family and there’s 20% discount on takeaway if you’d rather enjoy at home on your own or with friends.
