This is a very special coffee company and their cups of coffee reflect this. Not only do they have the best location in the city but their baristas have a real passion and flair for making coffee. I know that sounds strange and that’s because it’s a foreign concept in this country. If you learn anything about this company it should be how much they care about exactly what coffee you’re drinking and where it comes from, so that your espresso is perfect. They also train their staff properly in how to make it. I have even heard a chemical engineer works for them, I’m pretty sure he’s not the barista at this cart, but somewhere in the company where he can use those skills. There are no other coffee shops in town that have a 360 degree viewing angle of the cathedral and college green, so unless it’s raining or cold or… well most of the year… grab a coffee and have a seat, otherwise get it to go.

Located on the outskirts of College Green(that sentence makes college green sound like a whole county! I promise you its not, its just a green area before park street, where the central library is!) Extract Coffee see’s alot of business, attracting locals and visitors alike providing a good service and a pretty good cup of tea. It is one of the few places I will actually come to for a cup of tea, I usually go for Coffee as I find alot of places cannot make a good tea, and usually put some rubbish tea leaves in far to much water then add horrible green or red cap milk… Extract seem to have avoided this, for this fact, I salute them!

This coffee stand on the edge of College Green, opposite Fopp is a lifesaver on a cold winter day. With very few café’s to be found at the bottom of Park Street this small but efficient unit is an excellent pit stop to have a caffeine pick me up. There’s a surprisingly large range of drinks on offer here so if you’re in the mood for an Americano or Cappuccino they’ll be able to accommodate you. Not the cheapest coffee to be found in Bristol, but their fair-trade principles and banter with the friendly vendor is worth spending the extra pennies for. Their table and chairs are great in summer if you find sitting on the grass just too studenty, not so great when there’s a wind-a-blowin’.
