Caffe Nero usually has coffee quality comparable with Starbucks, perhaps a tad better on average. This Caffe Nero (that I have frequented twice) is if anything a little bit better, but not enough that I want to give them more than three stars. The baristas are nice and reasonably fast. Thus: reliable caffeine but nothing special.

As a young college lass studying abroad in Bristol, I quickly and secretly fell in love with the coffee servers here (especially a tall, blonde, lanky one) and would come here often just to sit upstairs, study, sip decent coffee, and hope to flirt harmlessly with the servers, who were always kind and incredibly upbeat. Don’t know if it’s still the same atmosphere here, but I hope so.
