Bristol Fine Art is a little treasure trove in a great spot at the top of Park Row. I have been shopping here for years, and I am always pleased with their prices and service. If you’re looking for super cheap low quality art supplies this is not the place for you! I recently purchased some canvas pliers from here at a fraction of the price they are available for online and they are such good quality. Nick who owns the place is endlessly helpful(and not a pushy salesman at all) and always makes sure you get exactly what you need. It is amazing to see a small business like this thriving, and I think part of the enjoyment I have of shopping here is knowing that I am supporting a great independent place.

I don’t know what it is about art shops that make me want to spend all my money, sack off my job, grow a goatee and start painting again! Do one rent, sod you bills, who needs money! And this shop is no exception. I went in today for some more practical bits & pieces and didn’t think I would find anything useful at a reasonable price(for some reason this shop has a reputation for being quite pricey) but I was very pleasantly surprised, not only did I find a great selection of the sketch books I was looking for, but the prices were very reasonable and I bought a pen. If it is possible the man who served me was too helpful. I mean as I walked in the front door the sales assistant was stood right in front of it and asked if he could help, which is fine, I said I was just looking, then he asked again and sometimes, especially in lovely little art shops, you just want to potter around looking at all the bits & bobs. Nevertheless he was very friendly and being helpful isn’t a crime.

Bristol Fine Art is a great little art supply shop in the center of town. It is only a small shop, but they certainly have bountiful stock, all squeezed in here. It is run by a really friendly guy, who is always on hand to help, and have even ordered things in for me promptly, if they haven’t got what I want in store. Other than the stationers on Park Street itself, this is the only art supply shop around this area, so if you’ve run out of paints, brushes, charcoal sticks or you’re on the last page of your sketchbook, come here and you’ll find what you want!(and if you can’t, he will order it in for you!)

Bristol Fine Art is appropriately named as it sells great quality art supplies and products and is all about excellence. It is a very well stocked arts store that sells everything you would need if you love getting the creative juices flowing and are an arty person! They offer a good range of sketch papers, canvases, acrylics, all sorts of paints and advanced brushes, and also sell graffiti spray paints(rumoured to be bought by Banksy from here…). I’m not brilliant at art and haven’t actually bought anything from here before, because it’s decent stuff and I would probably buy the cheap stuff from somewhere else to start off with! But my friends live in the apartments above on Park Row, so I often pop in for a little nose around, and it seems to do well for itself as there are generally customers in there. I would definitely recommend this shop, and they also have some interesting paintings to have a look at(and possibly buy if they’re on offer!).

Bristol Fine Art is a one of those really good shops that i probably have walked past a hundred times without realising it was there. I first noticed it when we were in the 2 hour queue for the Banksy Exhibition. We were feeling creative and wanted to try out our graffiti skills so went in search of somewhere that sold Spray Paint. Weirdly Bristol Fine Art didn’t sell any which was disappointing, nonetheless we had a snoop around and they sold some really great arty stuff. Prices were pretty reasonable and I have since noticed that they have started to stock spray paint. A great shop to pop into for any arty things, but also for some great gifts as they sell crafts too.

Taking a walk up Park Street, with Banksy to the right of you and Nick Waller to the left, it’s likely that by the time you reach the top your creative juices will be flowing. And there’s no better place to let them run wild that Bristol Fine Art. This small, but extremely well stocked, art supplies store is run by a very knowledgeable and helpful team who are at hand to help you with your every whim. The prices are higher than the high street, but the quality is much better as well. Great place to buy paints, brushes and canvases as they’ll be guaranteed to give you the best results.(For other essentials like white spirit — you could probably find a bargain elsewhere). With customers such as Yoko Ono and Bristol’s own Banksy(who the owner assures me they know!) rest assured that you’ll be buying from the best.

At the top of Park Row, you can nip here from the top of Park Street if you take the side road by Bristol Guild and turn left or just nip down from the lights at the triangle. Small little shop, but packed with items. It can be best just to ask for what you are looking for but you are left to browse without hassle as well. Has a good range of inks and printmaking items as well as the usual paints and charcoals. The best bit is the noticeboard on the inside of the door with details of shows, classes and groups in Bristol. I found myself a good printmaking class here last year run by an independent artist.

Bristol fine art is an art shop in prime location up at the top of Park Street, on Park Row. If you feel like getting your artistic creativity flowing, this is the place to stock up on all the necessities — from paint, to canvases, picture hooks to graffitti cans, you’re more or less guaranteed to find any artistic tool you’ll require as they’re bound to have it. And what makes it better is the actual premises of the shop is really quite small — it’s even worth a visit to be awed by the amount of stuff they’ve managed to pack in to such a small place. Apparently the artworld is whethering the recession pretty well — in fact the owner reckoned they haven’t even seen any of the so called ‘recession’, but rather they’re doing a roaring trade. He’s a very nice guy, so be sure to have a chat with him and he’ll no doubt track down whatever you could be looking for. Also, their services have been host to a few famous names, Derren Brown(I’d quite like to see his artwork, no doubt it’ll blow your mind), the elusive Banksy(yes, they know who he is), and even Yoko Ono. It’s among one of the oldest art shops in Bristol, beaten only by the Guild. All in all it’s your one stop shop for anything art orientated.
