I first heard about Bottelino’s back in Bath, where I was studying, and there was this Italian restaurant with a great lunchtime offer, where every pizza or pasta was £4.95! As a student at the time, the Bottelino’s in Bath was quite a frequent visit for a cheap-ish, tasty lunch. So when some friends said they were going to have dinner at the Bottelino’s in Broadmead, I said a big YES! Firstly, it was nice to see that the lunchtime offer also happens here in Bristol. The décor in here is clean, neat and blue — nothing really screams Italian, except the smells of the food cooking. The manager here was really friendly, and we were often checked up on, and asked if everything was alright, which sometimes can be annoying, but here it was so genuine and there was indeed nothing wrong with the food and the service so we were glad to say everything was great. My mussels in a tomato and garlic sauce, was a big portion for a starter, which is always a great thing! Really tasty as well — a notion that was seconded by everyone else at the table. Portions here are big; especially the bolognaise and pizzas. They also didn’t moan or seem impatient when we split the bill four ways, using four different debit cards. A real nice place to come with mates for a nosh up.

It may not be the classiest or most sophisticated dining you’ll experience in Bristol, but for a slice of authentic Italian cuisine head over to Il Bottelino. Here you’ll find unbeatable service, a great atmosphere and food to suit any appetite. The dishes here are cheap, tasty and served by efficient friendly waiters and waitresses. My favourite thing to eat at Bottelino’s is one of their humungous pizzas washed down with a delicious glass of rose. Their deserts are the only downside(I have a sneaking suspicion that they’re defrosted from frozen) but apart from that — Bottelino’s can do no wrong in my eyes!

Italian splendour in deepest darkest Broadmead. This restaurant shrugs off the dowdy English shopping centre surroundings to present top quality Italian fare and atmosphere. It’s nothing to adventurous in terms of menu options, just the usual Italians staples. They’re done to a high standard seasoned just right. It’s all about the fish here if you ask me, all succulent and fresh. The portions are generous, especially considering the prices — they have a £5 lunch offer(if you do come here for lunch then I recommend getting one of the pizzas to avoid being weighed down), to give you an idea of what to expect. Bottelinos offers a excellent Italian cuisine in a setting that feels genuine.

This is a great italian restaurant. It is small and cosy but lovely. The staff are very freindly and attentive. This restaurant is close to the shops of broadmead — an ideal location to have dinner after a day of shopping.

I love this little restaurant. This branch of Bottelinos is a small and cosy restaurant, but it serves really nice italian food, at a resonable price. The staff are really freindly and the restaurant seems to have a family feel. Bottelinos do great lunchtime offers — definately the best time to visit and try out the yummy cuisine.

This place feels so Italian and is a world away from Pizza Hut. The staff are so friendly and although it is much more expensive in the evening that at lunchtime, it is worth it as the pizza bases are authentic. The staff were very accommodating as we had a celebration for 9 of us and they allowed us to share starters recommending those that were most suitable such as antipasti. They also encouraged us to order in Italian and were lovely with the children. Lots of fish dishes aswell as pastas.

if your wanting a traditional italian meal. then be sure to go to Bottelino’s. Their food is absolutely delicious, especially their pasta and pizza. i recommend going when they have their lunch time deal of only £5 for a pizza and pasta, this is definetly worth it!
