This shop is actually called Big Saver which is hard to tell because they’ve plastered IrnBru pictures all over the outside. No bad thing really — IrnBru is delish, but somewhat ironically they don’t sell it in this shop. They do however sell all number of other things. Beers, magazines, tinned food, ready meals and a vast and colourful chocolate section synonymous with stores of this type are all on the check list. One thing many shops have in this area are the massively scrummy chicken and beef patties, made with some sort of yellowish dough(possibly maize?). In IrnBru, sorry, I mean Big Saver they have the larger, more elite Paradise Patties. If not for the newspapers, eggs and tea with the rest of St Marks on a Sunday morning, the Paradise Patties are reason enough to visit.
