I’m trying my best to avoid going on a service plan for my mobile. The last time I was on a service plan, I paid a hefty fee to get out of it. And since the phone I now want is the iPhone, I predict that if I back out of my plan, I’m (again) going to pay a hefty fee to get out of the contract.
I spoke to the representative about my interest in the iPhone, but my non-​interest in committing to a contract. I then said, I think it’s best if I just go on a pay-​as-​you-​go type of plan, and get a phone that allows me to do that. The salesperson, however, was very good in convincing me the positives of having a service contract, and went further into the positives of having an iPhone. He was very good, and if I had any money, would have signed a contract for a 24-​month plan. The staff is quite helpful in general, and they definitely know what they’re talking about.

Why is this place always so busy? Don’t people already have a phone? Wouldn’t they rather spend endless hours on customer service lines? I went here the other day (I kind of want an iPhone, but not really) so I enquired about an upgrade to put my mind at rest. Only thing is, the iPhone is a whole different ballgame and it’s very hard to do the switch, even though I am obviously a valued customer to the Vodafone Corporation. This saddens me and makes me want an iPhone more, even though I don’t really. The people who work in the shop on Western Road are very helpful, but good salespeople too, so keep your wits about you.
