This store is my personal antidepressant! Not only it is fun and handy, but it’s also cheap. Loads of different stuff for all kinds of needs and not a single item is boring. Absolutely in love with this place.

My new flat has been kitted out many thanks to Tiger. My friends and I feel that this shop is like a small goods Ikea. I have been hooked from the first visit. There are seasonal items instore so watch out. When it’s gone, that’s it. But one time, I kicked myself for not buying a rug I saw a few days back. It was not in stock when I looked for it the next time I visited. Then I popped back again and found they’re back! Oh joy, it was. Bought 2! No more heartaches LOL I like how I can buy in colour coordination in this shop. The latest buy is a couple of purple altar candles. It’s really not expensive here. Even my pens are all from Tiger. Nice!

When I was a kid, I used to love Woolworths. I used to run off, get lost and it would be announced over the store tannoy that Scott was waiting at the counter for his Mum. Tiger is like a mini-Woolworths. It has pretty much everything you need in life. It’s harder to get lost in here though because of the stupid Ikea-esque walking route. That’s the only thing I don’t like. I feel like I am hurried through the store due to the wave of people scuttling behind me. They could also use some air con. TIP: They sell really good strawberry bon bons. The kind that are a little bit soft and squidgy. TIP #2: If you struggle with tension and/or sleeping problems, they are one of the only retailers I know that sell acupressure mats. This is just one of those places that you pop into, even when you don’t really need anything. They would make a killing if they started to sell Pick ‘n’ Mix.

I am a self-confessed Tiger addict. It’s been in Brighton for a couple of years now, and it’s doing really well. It’s the kind of shop where I have to go in every single time I walk past — I won’t even necessarily need anything, but I will always come out having bought something! It seems to sell a little bit of everything, it kind of reminds me of a teeny tiny IKEA — without the furniture! They sell everything from kitchenware, sweets, candles, toys and arts and crafts… and it’s so cheap! But all the products are of really good quality. If I’m looking for gifts for people, I always pop into Tiger because there’s always something cool in there. I buy candles from there on a regular basis, and their Tiger Balm is the best I’ve ever used! You can find an array of sweets and treats in Tiger — but my absolute favourite has to be the Stroopwafels! Delicious little waffles that you balance on a hot cup of tea or coffee, then eat after a minute or so — they are just to die for! I love me some Tiger!

Tiger is the best. I can’t believe that it took me so long to go in here — everyone was always talking about it– and now I know why! Tiger has everything. It has useless stuff, practical stuff, pretty stuff, but most of all it has cheap stuff. The prices in here blow my mind! It’s incredible what you can get for a few pounds in here. Phone covers, nail clippers, spices, sketch pads, rugs… You name it, Tiger stocks it and sells it at a reasonable price. It’s good stuff too– everything I’ve bought from here has lasted remarkably well considering it’s low price tag. My phone cover, which was a mere £3, is holding up beautifully and the bowls I bought from here are lasting like a charm. Tiger is fun too– there’s lots of colour and patterns and fun designs to wrap your was around. They don’t do boring– even the nail clippers I bought there were pretty! If you’re looking for down thing fun, a present or pretty much if you’re looking for anything — Tiger is your place! Go in and explore. You won’t regret it! :)

Waaahhhh Gemma G why didn’t I listen to you sooner?! This place is AMAZE. Homeware and kooky items for pennies. Some of it reminding me of dear old Flabbytwat — I mean. Habitat! So exciting I bought some lovely fairy lights and candle holders for about £6. I love this place. It’s a keeper.

For all of you out there who are still pining the demise of Woolworths, Tiger goes some way to filling the gap. It’s kind of crossed between Woolies, the Pound Shop and Ikea. Like all of the above places, you have to spend a bit of time rummaging through the tat to find the diamond in the rough, but here you will leave with a basket full of goods that you never realized you needed, and at a reasonable price. Candles, napkins, notebooks, wool for knitting, picture frames, kitchen ware, bike accessories, stationary… you name it, it’s here, and all considerably cheaper than can be found at rival shops close by(Butlers, Cargo, I’m looking at you…). At this time of year it’s also laden with Christmas decorations and accessories, and if you are as crazy about Christmas as me, your be sure to leave with enough to cover any sized tree. It’s new, cheap and consequently very busy at the moment, but the way the shop is laid out allows for easy movement through the aisles. There are plenty of tills and shop assistants so you won’t have to wait long to be served, just bring a large bag to cart all of your bargains home!
