Spent two nights here on a foggy and damp March weekend. Room 3 is a really nice small suite — plus points are floor to ceiling sash windows which you can open. Decadent interior, very comfortable modern bed, and fabulous double ended bath and rain shower, both bed and bath have fine views of the sea front and are well designed. But Oh! The rooms and the hotel in general are in dire need of sprucing up. There was no air fan in the bathroom and multiple damp stains on the ceiling. The woodwork has swollen and so things don’t close properly. It’s not sleek more dowdy. And it’s a shame to see modern style looking as tatty as the old school Brighton hotel room even if it does not have a swirly carpet or a trouser press…

This hotel although small is classy which is a word you do not hear very often when describing hotels in Brighton. As part of a global company they certainly know how to lay on top notch facilities and I imagine it’s one of the main reasons it is a global company. The prices however, do reflect the quality you get so if you are trying to impress regardless of cost then this has to be near the top of your list in Brighton. Sometimes with ultra modern hotels, they lose charm as it’s all abit too much but they have a good balance here. Your looking at cheapest £75 a night for a double room which for me is fine if you have lots of facilities laid on but they don’t.
